About this collection

The institutional archive of Queen's University, Belfast comprises records relating to the history and development of Queen’s from its foundation as one of the Queen’s Colleges in Ireland in 1845 through to its establishment as an independent university in 1908 to the present day. 

 

Digitised items from the University Archive collection which are available online are photographs of Queen's student societies. It is important to note that there are not complete sets of these photographs for every academic year.

 

It has not been possible to trace any current rights owners to these images. Special Collections and Archives in Queen's University Library operates a strict take down policy. Any queries relating to the copyright to the photographs will be assessed and the images taken down from the website if necessary.
